BSMRMU Admission Test 2024-2025 | Eligibility, Exam Details & Results

BSMRMU Admission Circular has recently been published, and in this post, I will provide details about the admission requirements for undergraduate programs at BSMRMU. Programs like B.Sc. in Oceanography, B.Sc. in Naval Architecture and Offshore Engineering, B.Sc. (Hons) in Marine Fisheries, LLB (Hons) in Maritime Law, and BBA in Port Management & Logistics each have their own admission criteria. I will explain the GPA and subject requirements for each program.

I will also discuss the admission process for students from different educational backgrounds, including GCE or equivalent systems. This guide will help you understand what is needed to apply for your desired program at BSMRMU.

B.Sc. in Oceanography

To apply for the B.Sc. in Oceanography, applicants must have passed HSC or an equivalent exam with a minimum GPA of 4.00 in both SSC and HSC exams. They must have Biology in HSC. In the HSC exam, they need at least an 'A' grade in two subjects from Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, English, and Biology, and a 'B+' grade in the other subjects. For GCE students, they need to have passed five O-Level subjects, including Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry, and two A-Level subjects, including Mathematics and Physics.

B.Sc. in Naval Architecture and Offshore Engineering

For the B.Sc. in Naval Architecture and Offshore Engineering, the requirements are similar. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 4.00 in both SSC and HSC exams, with at least an 'A' grade in two subjects from Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and English, and a 'B' grade in the rest. GCE students must meet the same O-Level and A-Level requirements.

LLB (Hons) in Maritime Law

To apply for LLB (Hons) in Maritime Law, applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.5 in both SSC and HSC exams. GCE students must have at least 4 B grades and 3 C grades in their O-Level and A-Level subjects. No D grades are allowed.

BBA in Port Management & Logistics

For the BBA in Port Management & Logistics, applicants must have a total GPA of 7.5 in SSC and HSC exams, with no less than 3.5 in any exam. GCE students must pass five O-Level subjects, including Mathematics, and two A-Level subjects.

B.Sc. (Hons) in Marine Fisheries

For B.Sc. (Hons) in Marine Fisheries, applicants must have passed SSC/Dakhil and HSC/Alim with a minimum GPA of 4.00 in Science. They must have Biology in HSC. In HSC, they need at least an 'A' grade in two subjects from Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English, and a 'B+' grade in the rest. GCE students need to have passed five O-Level subjects, including Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, and two A-Level subjects, including Physics and Mathematics, with Biology.

Foreign Applicants

Foreign applicants must apply through their embassies. Their educational qualifications should meet the same requirements as for Bangladeshi students.

Maritime University Admission Test 2024-2025

Eligible applicants must first pass an MCQ exam for primary selection. The questions will be based on the HSC syllabus, covering subjects like Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, and English. Applicants should prepare by studying these subjects. The admission test will last for 1.5 hours.

Maritime University Admission Test Result 2024

The primary selection will be based on the written test results. A list of eligible candidates will be published on February 18, 2024. Selected candidates will then be required to take a viva test. The final admission results will be announced between October and December 2024. The selected students must complete their admission process by February 28, 2024
