Admission Requirement of BSMRMU

As we have mentioned earlier, candidates have to sit for a separate admission test for the difference. There are different requirements for different faculties. The requirements of admission in BSMRMU are given below.

Earth and Ocean Science and Engineering and Technology:

• Candidates have to pass HSC from the Science group.
• Minimum GPA is 4.00 in both SSC and HSC
• Minimum B Grade is required in Math, English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology
• At least two of the above subjects has A Grade

Faculty of Maritime Governance and Policy & Shipping Administration

• Candidates who pass HSC with GPA 3.5 from any group can apply
• Minimum Grade level is B
• Candidates have to obtain B Grade in Both SSC and HSC

Note: More than two subjects with a -C- grade will result in disqualification.For A-Level qualifications, pass in at least two subjects, including Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics. More than one -C- grade is considered disqualification.

How to Apply for BSMRMU Admission

Candidates have to login in the applyonline.bsmrau.edu.bd. There he/she will get detailed information about the application process. Following the process candidates should have to apply. The more details is also available in www.bsmrmu.edu.bd

• Visit applyonline.bsmrmu.edu.bd.
• Download and carefully read the BSMRMU Admission Notice to understand the terms and conditions.
• Click on "Apply For Undergraduate Program" in the menu bar.
• Choose the program of interest after reading the advertisement.
• Create a profile and fill in the online application form with your academic details.
• Upload a photo with the correct image size.
• Complete the payment process within 72 hours using bKash, Rocket, Cash, My Cash, etc.
• Print the applicant copy on A4 size paper and keep it until the admission process is complete.

Application Fees:

Candidates have to pay 800 BDT for each of the Faculty. Application Fees can be provided through bKash, Rocket, My Cash, and T Cash. Debit card and Credit card is also acceptable. The cards BSMRMU Supports are VISA, Master Card, DBBL Nexus

BSMRMU Admit Card Download

After completing all the application steps, you'll have to download the admit card. The download time is not known yet because of some delays. When it's ready, go to applyonline.bsmrmu.edu.bd and do the following:

• Visit https://applyonline.bsmrmu.edu.bd/ and click on Student Login/Admit Card Download.
• Log in using the Applicant ID and Password you got through SMS.
• If you forget your Applicant ID or Password, click the ‘Recover Applicant ID/Password’ link.

Make sure to download the Admit Card for the BSMRMU Admission Test 2024-25 between 21 January 2025, 12:00 PM, and 1 February 2025, 11:59 PM.

BSMRMU Admission Test Seat Plan:

You can find the specific seat plan in the admit card, and a separate plan for each unit will be available 24-48 hours before the admission test. The detailed seating arrangements will be on the University's website notice board.

Mark Distribution

To qualify in the written admission test, achieving a score of 100 marks is necessary. Exam System is Objective and Short Question Answers The test includes subjects from the current HSC Syllabus, with the mark distribution outlined for each program as follows:

BSc in Naval Architecture and Offshore Engineering (NAOE):

• Mathematics: 25 marks
• Physics: 25 marks
• Chemistry: 25 marks
• English: 25 marks

Total: 100 marks

BSc in Oceanography:

• Mathematics: 20 marks
• Physics: 20 marks
• Chemistry: 20 marks
• Biology: 20 marks
• English: 20 marks

Total: 100 marks

LLB Honors in Maritime Law and BBA in Port Management & Logistic

• Bangla: 25 marks
• English: 25 marks
• Mathematics/Accounting/ General Science: 25 Marks
• ICT: 25 marks

Test Duration:

The admission test will last for 90 minutes.

Final Selection:

Candidates' final selection depends on the cumulative marks from the written admission test (100), HSC/equivalent examination (60), and SSC/equivalent examination (40). The merit list and waiting list will be published on the BSMRMU notice board and website.

BSMRMU Faculty Details

Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Maritime University BSMRMU consists of seven faculties. These are

Earth and Ocean Sciences involve the study of the physical and chemical processes that affect planet Earth and its oceans. There are six subjects in the Earth and Ocean Science Faculty. The subjects

Engineering & Technology is a broad set of subjects that deal with everything connected to the design, manufacture, and maintenance of infrastructure, devices, tools, and information systems used by society on a daily basis.This faculty has seven subjects. These are
