BUFT Admission Eligibility

• To enroll in any undergraduate program, a minimum GPA of 2.50 out of 5.00 is required in both SSC and HSC/Equivalent exams.
• For programs like AMT, KE, FDT, IE, TE, and TEM, a science background is necessary, while AMM, BBA, Eng, and FS programs accept any background.
• English medium candidates must have completed 'O' Level and 'A' Level, with consideration given to the best five subjects in 'O' Level and the best two subjects in 'A' Level.
• Among these seven subjects, a minimum of 4 B’s or a GPA of 4.00 and 3 C’s or a GPA of 3.5 is required (Scale: A = 5.0, B = 4.0, C = 3.0, D = 2.0, and E = 1.0).
• In addition, candidates must attain an acceptable BUFT admission test score.
• GED results are not accepted.

BUFT Admission Process

Online Process

• Visit buft.edu.bd/Admission and select your desired course.
• Click on "Apply Now" to access the application form.
• Fill out the application form and proceed to make the required payment.
• Upon successful payment, check your mobile SMS for the username and password.
• Use the provided username and password for the next steps in the application process.

Offline/physical Process

You can get the admission form from the BUFT Admission Office. After filling it out, submit the completed form to the same office. If you meet the eligibility criteria, the BUFT Admission Office will inform you about the date and venue for the admission test.

How to pay admission Fee?

• Visit admission.buft.edu.bd/admission/VerifyPayment.aspx.
• Take note of your Payment ID and click on "Go for Payment."
• Choose your preferred payment method.
• Click the "Pay Now" button to complete the payment process.

Admission Test:

• All applicants are required to take an admission test, which will be held on February 3, 2025.
• The admission test will be based on English, Mathematics, and General Knowledge.
• Please pay attention to the BUFT website for admission test results. Find your result in the ‘
  ‘Admission’ category's ‘Admission result’ option.

Document of Qualify Student

• Original certificates, marksheets and testimonials.
• Attested photo copies of all certificates, marksheets and testimonials
• Photocopy of NID/Birth certificate of the (i) Applicant (ii) Applicant's father's and mother's (iii) Tuition fee provider's must be submitted
• Recent 4 copies of passport size and 2 copies of stamp size color photograph.

BUFT Scholarship

Merit Scholarship:

• 50% merit scholarship at entry level for BSc/BBA programs with a minimum GPA of 3.75 in the first semester.
• Candidates with GPA 5.00 in SSC and HSC or 5 ‘A’ in O’Level and 3 ‘A’ in A’Level.

Graduate Program Merit Scholarship:

• BUFT graduates entering MBA/MSc/MA programs with CGPA 4.00 receive a 25% merit scholarship, maintaining a GPA of 3.75 each semester.

Tuition Fee Waiver:

• Top 3 scorers in the Admission Test (with min. 75%) receive 50% waiver, maintaining a minimum CGPA of 3.75.
• 50% waiver for maintaining GPA 4.00 in two consecutive semesters.
• UGC Policy-based 100% waiver for Freedom Fighters' children and poor but meritorious students, maintaining CGPA 3.0.
• 25% waiver for Siblings/Couples and Tribal students, maintaining CGPA 3.0.

Admission Test Waiver:

• Candidates with GPA 5.00 in SSC and HSC or 5 ‘A’ in O’Level and 3 ‘A’ in A’Level can be admitted without taking the admission test.

Scholarship on Academic/Humanitarian Ground:

• Considered based on BUFT authority's recommendation, subject to maintaining good results.

Scholarship on Special Ground:

• Considered at the discretion of the Chairman, Board of Trustees of BUFT.
